We all know the Scrap Metal Industry doesn’t get very much media attention, But in the background, The Scrap Metal Industry plays an essential part of the global industrial supply chain. According to the Canadian Association of Recycling, about 43% of steel, up to 42% of copper and about 30% of aluminum comes from recycled materials. Canada recycles around 17 million tonnes of Scrap Metal each year.
ALCOP Resource Recycling Inc. plays a significant role in the Scrap Metal and Waste Materials Management in Alberta by delivering high-quality scrap to steel mills all over Calgary, and communities around including Okotoks, High River, Cochrane, Airdrie, Crossfield, Strathmore and more.
The shipping of scrap Metal is finally used to create high-grade materials that can be made into making products that often get sold back to Canadian Companies. ALCOP Resource Recycling Inc partakes in this process by offering Demolition and Site Clean up services.

To be sure materials will be able to be processed and shipped internationally, scrap metal must be prepared either by manual torch cutting or an industrial shredder.
